The Domino Effect.

Whoever the coaches are that are saying they have it all together are probably lying to you, because frankly, nobody does.

I’ve thought a LOT about the personal development coaching space over the years. It was so interesting—one of my clients mentioned last month that nobody does what I do the way I do it. I thought—really? I don’t mean that in an egotistical way, and I don’t think they did either. They mentioned the faith component of my work and how I organically bring that in. My own thought was—of course! How could I not?

I’ve always been truthful with my audience about the messages, uplifting and inspiring words that come from my mouth. As I’ve grown, so has the content and messaging, but I teach what I’ve walked through.

However, let me reassure you- I do not have it all together.

I'm simply doing my part. I invest in the same thing I teach. Why? To further my own personal growth and development to align me with what God has in store.

There’s a lot of criticism in this space—“WHY get better? Just wait on God!”“Come on, you don’t need this.”“So much of it is just Biblical principles.”“Who are you to even coach?”

It made me think of something I always say off the cuff—the domino effect.

I want to reiterate what I began with: we are ALL HUMAN. Nobody has it entirely together besides our Creator Himself. That’s not the point. The point is, we’re each dominos on each other’s journeys, and we have all been given gifts TO HELP each other.

Have you ever found that, upon being ready to begin your new venture or chapter, the perfect resources somehow fall into your lap? A random coach, post, or book that pops up? That’s not a coincidence.

One of my favorite lines from Lao Tzu is, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”

I often speak about receiving and allowing in my work, and that’s because a majority of the people I work with are coming out of the grind that they’ve found does NOT reap the results needed. But my coaching is not one size. For every client that comes my way, my goal is to balance and align them into the next chapter that’s calling. This looks different for everyone.

Those of you destined for the stage have some different work at play than the person who is called to impact quietly behind the scenes—both are powerful and equally important, but the preparation, the pressure, and the refinement often look very different.

Personal development is doing exactly what is needed of you in a chapter where God is preparing you. Consider the gym- this is no different.

Take this today: surround yourself with those who have done it. Get in the room.

Recognize what your ego does NOT want you to do, and then go do it.

Lastly, take the hand reaching out.

The results?

Well, that just depends on how bold you’re willing to get.

I had a client of mine recently who lit up once we cleared the internal block she was coming up against. She was ready to purchase a full package—it wasn’t needed! Two sessions, and she was off to the races. For some, my eight-week container is the benefit. Another one of my superstars is walking toward a major passion after putting it aside for years due to others’ imposed limitations on her. Sound familiar? Watching her walk toward this each month with success, groundedness, and clarity is everything.

Now, take yourself to a moment where you broke through a hidden barrier in your life.

Really sit with it. Think about the RELIEF you felt on the other side.

Got it?

Now, imagine if you never took that step. Imagine if you kept convincing yourself that you could wait at the starting line. Remember that frustration? Consider it still being there today.

We only make a change once we realize that the pain of staying where we are is greater than the pain of the perceived change.

I’ll be frank—it’s really up to you.

Be bold, be courageous, and don’t aim to do it alone.
